Kirk A. Mathews

Born in Zephyr Hills, Florida, the son of Robert Logan and Martha Powers of Canada and Michigan. He attended public schools in the Zephyr Hills, Florida, graduating from high school on 1983. He served honorably with the United States Army from 1983-2000, attending Central Texas College from 1989-1991, where he earned an A.A. in General Studies. Then, Matthews worked toward a B.A. in Economics at the University of Texas from 1991-1992.
From 1992–1998 he was self employed in construction and farming in central Texas.

Benning Construction Company - Assistant Vice President

Eleven new theater projects ranging in size from seven screens to sixteen screens.
Ten theater expansion and remodel projects ranging in cost from $1,500,000.00 to $6,500,000.00
Walgreen’s pharmacy projects through out the Southeast.
Ten grocery store anchored shopping centers with over fifty thousand square feet of retail shops.
Numerous other retail projects ranging in cost from $1,500,000.00 to $10,000,000.00
Supervise three Project Managers working on similar projects

Experience

Project Estimating, Project Buy Out, Contract Negotiations, Project Marketing, Value Engineering, Project Management, Supervise /Assist Other Project Managers, Quality Control, Maintain Project Budgets.
OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certification and numerous OSHA Safety certifications.
Worked my way up from the field to current position.
Over Fourteen Years in the Construction Industry.
Active Member currently serving 2^nd term on Board of Directors with the Georgia Associated Builders and Contractors Association.
